Marc Cain

From web to mobile. A complete, customer-first experience.
Marc Cain had a well-established web presence but lacked a mobile experience that met modern expectations. This project introduced a mobile-first solution that combined commerce with loyalty. A seamless shopping and customer card ecosystem in one application.

Designed to reflect the elegance of the Marc Cain brand while optimizing usability, the app introduced a modular design system, smart rewards, and a clear navigation experience tailored to the modern shopper.

ChallengeThe goal was clear. Bring the Marc Cain experience to mobile in a way that feels just as premium, personal, and functional as their retail and web presence. This was not about replicating the webshop. It meant rethinking the experience for smaller screens, shorter sessions, and on-the-go interactions.

Key challenges
• Integrate customer card and reward features into daily usage
• Simplify complex shopping flows for mobile
• Reflect the Marc Cain brand with elegance and clarity
• Create a scalable system for future features and campaigns

ApproachA modular design system was created using reusable tiles, clear UX patterns, and a balance between brand and performance.

The user journey focused on personalization, rewards, and inspiration. From the first screen, users are welcomed into a premium experience th
at introduces the value of the app before any interaction.

Each section — shopping, card, vouchers, daily points, events — was designed to work both independently and as part of a complete customer experience.

My RoleLed the UX and UI design for the Marc Cain mobile app, shaping the structural flow, interaction patterns, and visual direction. Delivered a modular, mobile-first experience that complemented the established brand while addressing customer needs across loyalty, shopping, and engagement. The work included ecosystem auditing, wireframing, and systematizing reusable components for future scalability.

ProcessThis project was carried out as a solo engagement, covering the full spectrum of UX and UI design. The process began with an audit of Marc Cain’s existing digital touchpoints, followed by competitor analysis and internal experience mapping.

Based on the findings, a modular tile system was defined to enable scalable UX patterns and maintain visual consistency across the application. Wireframes were sketched, tested, and refined into high-fidelity prototypes. Throughout the project, the focus remained on combining the elegance of the brand with the convenience of mobile-first shopping.

System ThinkingDesigning for Marc Cain meant thinking beyond aesthetics. The modular UX system, based on tile structures, reusable UI components, and flexible navigation, was crafted to ensure consistency across evolving features. This scalable foundation allowed for future integrations, personalization, and new experience layers without disrupting the core design integrity.

SolutionModular UX and Tile System

To support scalability and fast iteration, the app was built with a flexible tile-based system

• Responsive grids for content and navigation
• Reusable tiles for looks, events, and articles
• Visual and structural consistency across features
• Expandable architecture for new content and campaigns

This structure enabled teams to manage and grow the experience with ease.

SolutionCustomer Card and Loyalty

The My Card section is the core of the app. It provides a full overview of rewards, vouchers, and user progress toward status levels while staying elegant and on-brand.

Highlights
• Dynamic voucher tiles with real-time activation
• Status progress and benefits overview
• Daily actions for earning points
• Receipts and redemption history
• Barcodes and codes for store and online redemption

SolutionShopping and Checkout

The shopping section delivers a curated mobile-first retail experience

• Visual category tiles for intuitive navigation
• Search, filters, and size-specific browsing
• Product screens with multi-color options, video, and 3D view
• Integrated wishlist, bag, and checkout
• Voucher redemption directly in the bag

Every interaction was designed to reduce friction and inspire purchase.

SolutionDiscover
A lifestyle-led experience

The home of the app was imagined not as a product list but as a space to explore. From bloggers to collections, news to events, the Discover section became a dynamic entry point that turned the app into a destination rather than a transactional tool. Structured around editorial-style tiles, users could browse seasonal inspiration, trending looks, and Marc Cain’s brand universe in an intuitive and immersive way. This forward-thinking approach encouraged ongoing engagement and positioned the app as both a shopping tool and a brand companion.

By connecting fashion, lifestyle, and storytelling, Discover laid the foundation for deeper brand interaction. Visually led, modular, and built to evolve.

Value Delivered• Created a unified customer card and shopping application
