ONA

Organizational Network Analysis
Every organization is powered by people. Yet visibility into how influence, communication, and collaboration actually happen is limited. ONA was designed to map these invisible networks.

By analyzing feedback and meeting data, the system reveals who connects teams, who drives communication, and where potential leadership lies. The result is an interactive, real-time graph of relationships and influence across the organization. A network that shows how work truly gets done.

ONA is a strategic tool for insight, reflection, and action. Built to support informed decisions, culture development, and people-first leadership.

ChallengeTitles do not reflect how teams truly operate. Influence and communication often happen outside formal structures. The challenge was to help leadership identify hidden leaders, overburdened employees, or disconnected teams—not through hierarchy, but through real behavior. How do you expose what is invisible without creating noise, complexity, or privacy concerns?

ApproachThe system leveraged existing internal data—meeting participation, feedback flows, and lightweight metadata. From these signals, an interactive graph was created. Nodes represented people, scaled by influence and colored by role. Edges visualized interaction frequency and intensity. The graph was designed for exploration. Leadership could filter by department, trace paths between collaborators, or zoom in on individual network hubs. Algorithms like PageRank surfaced insights into influence and information flow. Care was taken to design a system that made complexity clear—without making it feel heavy.

Graph Interaction Design

Led the overall design direction, user experience, and interface design. Defined graph interaction behavior, visual logic, and layout. Built prototypes and presentation materials for leadership validation.

Solution Interactive Graph Application

The application enabled leadership to:
    •    Visualize collaboration and influence across departments
    •    Identify informal leaders and overloaded employees
    •    Detect silos, gaps, or unexpected connection patterns
    •    Monitor the effect of change over time

The interface combined clarity with depth. Designed to support strategic conversations, it revealed how communication lives within the organization.

Value Delivered    •    Gave leadership a clear view of communication dynamics
    •    Helped identify hidden contributors and internal silos
    •    Reduced assumptions and supported data-driven culture development
    •    Laid the foundation for future HR intelligence platforms
